The goal of this website is to help students memorize the Unit Circle. In my experience as both a teacher and a student, the best way to memorize something is if you truly understand the topic and where the meaning of the components. As such, this website will focus on the origins of the degrees, radians, and coordinates found on the Unit Circle. If your teacher or course has not already discussed why the Unit Circle is important, you may also find the following external link of help to you: Why is the Unit Circle Important?
To start, it is important to understand that the Unit Circle is in fact a circle whose center is the origin of a Cartesian graph with a radius of length 1. We center the Unit Circle at the Origin in order to divide it into 4 symmetrical quadrants (we will discuss taking advantage of the symmetry to aid in our memorization of the Finished Circle later).
As the full Unit Circle (displayed below) can seem daunting, we will take it piece by piece. Please proceed to the section on degrees next.
